Peter Aerschmann
Peter Aerschmann was born in 1969 in Fribourg (Switzerland). He lives and works in Bern. Since 1999, he has been developing a distinctive artistic practice in the fields of video and interactive computer installations. Co-founder of the PROGR Foundation in Bern and Residency.ch, he has exhibited his work worldwide, notably at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the National Art Museum of China, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris and the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin. His works are held in leading public and private collections, including the François Pinault Foundation, the Kunstmuseum Bern and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie. He received the Swiss Art Award in 2002.

Il développe depuis 1999 une pratique artistique singulière dans le domaine de la vidéo et des installations informatiques interactives. Cofondateur de la fondation PROGR à Berne et de Residency.ch, il a exposé ses œuvres dans le monde entier, notamment au Palazzo Grassi à Venise, au Musée national d'art de Chine, à la Maison Européenne de la Photographie à Paris et à la Berlinische Galerie à Berlin. Ses œuvres font partie de collections publiques et privées de premier plan, parmi lesquelles la Fondation François Pinault, le Kunstmuseum Bern et la Maison Européenne de la Photographie.
