I have always wondered about the shape of photographic prints. Why is it that, whether analog or digital, they invariably conform to square or rectangular formats, when our gaze, shaped by aligned anatomy, naturally embraces a horizontal field of vision? This duality reveals a fascinating contrast: on one hand, the nature of our visual perception, and on the other, the technical constraints of cameras, films, or digital sensors that dictate the image's format.

Je me suis toujours interrogé sur la forme des tirages photographiques.
