Born in 1921 in Zurich, Switzerland, Karlheinz Weinberger died in 2006. Employed all his life as a warehouse worker in the Siemens factory, he devoted his free time to photographing, from the 1950s onwards, the rebellious youth, the Halbstarke, the young outsiders of Switzerland. It is with great tenderness and a touch of irony that he depicts this post-war generation in search of an identity. With an always erotic look, he poses the young rebels, then the bikers and rockers, in his apartment or during their escapades in the countryside. Employé toute sa vie comme magasinier dans l'usine Siemens, il a consacré son temps libre à photographier, à partir des années 1950, la jeunesse rebelle, les Halbstarke, les jeunes marginaux de Suisse. C'est avec une grande tendresse et une pointe d'ironie qu'il dépeint cette génération d'après-guerre en quête d'identité. Avec un regard toujours érotique, il pose les jeunes rebelles, puis les motards et les rockeurs, dans son appartement ou lors de leurs escapades à la campagne.
