Travaillant principalement en noir et blanc, Alexandra crée des images sonores et ambiantes et explore des sujets tels que la musique, les émotions, la liberté et le bonheur, depuis la Tchoukotka et le lac Baïkal dans l'Extrême-Orient, les îles Solovki de l'archipel du Goulag jusqu'aux montagnes du Bhoutan.

Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze, a Franco-Georgian and Azerbaijani photographer, transcends geographical and artistic boundaries through her lens. Born in Baku into a family steeped in music, she moved to Paris in 1989 after graduating from the Fine Arts School of Azerbaijan. Her journey into photography began during her studies at EFET Photographie and IRIS, consolidated by a master’s degree under the direction of Yan Morvan. This transition marked the start of a remarkable career, beginning as a photojournalist with the Gamma agency.Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze has distinguished herself through her international conceptual projects, exploring themes such as music, identity, beauty and faith. Over the years, Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze has forged close links with the world of music. Her work, which has appeared in renowned publications such as Paris-Match and Le Monde, will give rise in 2015 to an exhibition at Asia House in London. Later in 2020, she founded the Photo House, a photographic studio and workshop located in the heart of Paris’s 6th arrondissement. Today she is continuing her work on “What Happiness is”, the third chapter of her career. Kremer-Khomassouridze presents us with delicate works printed on handmade Japanese paper, each photograph then carefully enhanced by hand using a traditional Japanese pink watercolour. Alexandra’s photographs are produced in editions of three, but it’s the hand-crafting and personal touch she brings to each one that makes them so unique.

Née à Bakou dans une famille imprégnée de musique, elle s’établit à Paris en 1989 après avoir été diplômé des beaux art d’Azerbaïdjan . Son cheminement vers la photographie s’amorce lors de ses études à l’EFET Photographie et à l’IRIS, consolidé par un master sous la direction de Yan Morvan. Cette transition marque le début d’une carrière remarquable, débutant en tant que photojournaliste à l’agence Gamma. Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze s’est distinguée par ses projets conceptuels d’envergure internationale, explorant des thèmes tels que la musique, l’identité, la beauté et la foi. Parmi ses réalisations notables figurent “Life/Live Music” et “Faces of Freedom ». Son engagement artistique transparaît également dans des réalisations telles que “Soul of Fuel”, plongée au cœur d’Oil Rocks, la plus ancienne plate-forme pétrolière au monde. Au fil des années, Alexandra Kremer-Khomassouridze tisse des liens privilégiés avec le monde de la musique. Son œuvre, paru dans des publications renommées telles que Paris-Match et Le Monde, donnera lieu en 2015 à une exposition à la Asia House de Londres. Plus tard en 2020, elle a fondé la Photo House, un studio et atelier photographique situé au cœur du 6ème arrondissement de Paris. Aujourd’hui elle poursuit son travail « What Happiness is » troisième chapitre de son œuvre. Kremer-Khomassouridze nous propose à voir des œuvres délicates tirées sur un papier artisanal japonais, chaque photographie vient ensuite être soigneusement rehaussée à la main à l’aide d’une aquarelle rose traditionnelle du japon. Les photographies d’Alexandra sont produites en édition de trois exemplaires, mais c’est leur confection manuelle et la touche personnelle qu’elle y apporte qui leur confère à toutes quelque chose d’unique.
